The homeowners in this Staten Island home had not figured out how to use their living and dining room space in over ten years had hardly any furniture at all. Their goal was for the space to be a warm and inviting one in time for Christmas with the family. We designed a custom built-in that provides them with much needed storage and buffet space. The unit also helps to define each area without making either space feel closed in. We also installed new hardwood floors throughout the space and refinished the old flooring to create a custom window bench with additional storage for blankets. Lastly, we used reclaimed moldings from a house built in the 1800's to create a custom tray ceiling in the dining room.
